Taught by a lactation consultant from Elliot Hospital’s Maternity Center, this class introduces parents to the benefits of breastfeeding and how to get off to a good start. Topics covered include: comfortable positioning for breastfeeding, avoiding common problems, and the basics of pumping and storing milk.
*PLEASE NOTE: Face masks are not required within the hospital at this time but are recommended. A single registration includes attendance of a support person. Our hospital cafeteria will be open before and after class if you’d like to purchase food and/or drinks. You are welcome to bring drinks and snacks with you.
This class will take place at Elliot Hospital’s main campus. We kindly ask that you present to the main entrance a few minutes prior to the scheduled start of class.
